🔹 Pancreatitis:
Discontinue Ozempic® immediately if pancreatitis is suspected or if you experience severe abdominal pain requiring urgent medical attention. Do not restart if pancreatitis is confirmed.
🔹 Diabetic Retinopathy:
Ozempic® has been linked to worsening diabetic retinopathy in some patients. If you have diabetes, ensure you are up to date on your diabetic eye exams and discuss monitoring strategies with your healthcare provider.
🔹 Medication Safety:
Do not share an Ozempic® pen between patients, even if the needle is changed.
Hypoglycemia Risk: Using Ozempic® with certain diabetes medications (insulin secretagogues like glipizide, glyburide, Prandin, or Starlix) may increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Discuss medication adjustments with your doctor.
🔹 Kidney Injury & Dehydration:
Severe diarrhea or vomiting can lead to dehydration and kidney injury. If you experience significant gastrointestinal side effects, stop taking Ozempic® and contact your medical provider.

Seek immediate medical attention and discontinue Ozempic® if you experience signs of a serious allergic reaction, including:
✔ Shortness of breath
✔ Rash or severe itching
✔ Swelling of the mouth, lips, or throat
